Pakistani singer sacked due to his nationality

26/11 has left many scarred, hurt and angry. It has done the same to Sandiip Kapur, producer of Jugaad starring Manoj Bajpai, Vijay Raaz and Hrishita Bhatt. His film had a song Kise Awaz Dun sung by Pakistani artist Adeel. Sandiip had also spent a whopping amount to shoot an expensive video with Adeel for the promotion of the film. But now he has decided to scrap the song. “We had signed Adeel eight months prior to the 26/11 attacks. However, now, keeping in mind the sentiments of people and the general mood in the country, we decided to scrap the music video,” said Sandiip. In fact, Sandiip refused to invite Adeel to Mumbai for the music launch of the film. The Pakistani singer who had sung the popular song, Move your body, in Kismat Konnection, is upset. “I felt bad because I had worked hard on the song which they have scrapped now. I was not even called for the music launch of the movie on January 2,” said Adeel who has also lost out on another music album which was to be produced by a top music company.
