My Idol picks

This would be my first Idol post for this season. I don’t know but I am not in the blogging mode most of the time, especially this month. Oh wait, I did post an entry before the season premiere and after the top 36, so this will count as the third. Memory gap! Let me rephrase then. This is my first post since the Top 13 (that’s more like it!). Anyway, as I type this, another Idol got axed so it’s now down to the 9 hopefuls. I won’t spoil it for now because I haven’t watched the result show, but instead I’ll just enumerate my top picks. But before that, here’s a picture of the Top 13, back when they’re still complete:

American Idol 2009|Top 10 Contestants|Season 8 Contestants

American Idol is one of the most popular reality singing competition which sponsored by lots of advertisers such as Coca-Cola and Ford. American Idol was debuted on June 11, 2002 with the tag line: The Search For A Superstar in season 1.
I’m a big fan of American Idol because I just cannot imagine how an ordinary guy or girl becomes famous in American Idol. Therefore, this reality show really gives me inspiration and hopes that everyone has equal opportunity to pursue his/her dreams.
This year comes to American Idol 2009 or season 8 which is a tough competition as lots of talented singers are performing their best performances to attract the attention of judges and audiences as well. Anyway, there will be only two finalists who compete for the American Idol 2009 title. As of now, we have seen top 10 contestants born in the show and they are :
Danny Gokey
Kris Allen
Allison Iraheta
Adam Lambert
Lil Rounds
Scott McIntyre
Megan Corkrey
Matt Giraud
Anoop Desai
Michael Sarver just eliminated.

Kelly Clarkson graced the cover of Blender Magazine for its April 2009 issue.

The American Idol graduate is also launching her new album. Kelly Clarkson thanks American Idol for her success.“Audiences love ‘American Idol,’” the singer said in an interview by Blender Magazine. “They get to pick, out of all these people, who they want to hear a record from. They invest in that. That’s why I’m here. Like, there’s no other reason. They voted for me. They wanted to hear from me. They picked me. And it’s an honor, it’s flattering, and it’s fun,” she continued.

Ben Harper Unveils New Group

Acclaimed American singer / songwriter Ben Harper has unveiled a new group called Relentless7, with their debut album due next year.
Songwriters often debut new material, but seldom do they debut an entirely new band. Ben Harper, though, isn't your average songsmith and his new project Relentless7 isn't your average band. Formed with long time friends the four piece first jammed while making Harper's album 'Both Sides Of The Gun'.
